        Hi Jennifer,

I have nothing to add, but I am following you and my prayers are so with you right now. I am just sick with all you are dealing with and such little ones at the house too. My husband is Stage 3b and went through 18 months of immunotherapy. He has been NED and pray he stays. Next scan in February. We are hoping to go to Ireland in July if all is good… I, myself, had a melanoma insitu taken out in July. Obviously we must of had way too many tropical vacations earlier on in our marriage…:). Keep up the posts. Many of us don’t speak up, but you have many many that are reading your post and saying a little prayer…

My husband had a lump 2 inches below his scar. The dermatologist said it was just scar tissue, 6 months later he kept itching it and when I felt it I knew it was something. Sure enough melanoma. Definitely have it checked by oncologist.

I have that now too from my wide excision. My primary care doctor at a recent visit said most likely nerve damage. It does ache and feels like needles there at times. Donna

My husband is 3b and in a few months it will be 2 years since having the tumor and 22 lymph nodes (one which had cancer) removed from his chest.  So far he has been NED, and you are right I LOVE messages like these.  He has been on almost a year on Opdivo and doing well with it.  He takes 5 mg of prednisdone every 3 days which makes him feel "normal".  Thank you for posting, it does help us stay positive.

Thank you. Mark has a scan next week and they are going to check it out. My husband called the doc today and said my wife is concerned! Thanks to your post. I will let you know how we make out.

Please let me know how you make out. My husband is Stage 3b and he noticed a month or so ago a bump on his ankle. He has been thinking it is a pump bump. Is your round and hard?

My husband had a bump a few inches up from his wide excision.  The determatologist said it was scar tissue so my husband let it sit.  After a few months it was itching and growing.  Turns out it was a very deep melanoma.  Get it checked asap!

Thank you for your response. I do follow your treatments and profess. HOA really doubts that it was opdivo related since he has been on it for 1.5 years and really no side effects other than fatigue. He is home and very very tired. Being a pain in the you know what to drink down fluids. I had never heard of sepsis but it sure is nasty the more I read up on it.

My husband is about 6 months with Opdivo and for the most part he does well.  He is very tired and moves pretty slowly, however, he does offset his tiredness every say 3 to 4 days with a very low dose of prednisone.  That seems to get him over the hump for a few days and feel better.

I don't have much to offer other than my heart aches for you both.  My husband found out he is Stage 3b January 2017.  I still feel like I am living in a fog.  My friends as well did not realize the severity and I am just sad nightly seeing him so tired from the fatigue brought on from Opdivo.  Hugs to all that are going through this and feel free to vent on this site.  We all get it…

I am going to pipe in…. my husband had a melanoma removed on his stomach, a few years after that I noticed him itching at a spot shortly up from where his melanoma was.  He mentioned last visit to the dermatologist that it itched, she said it was just scar tissue.  The more I felt around I really felt it was Melanoma.  Sure enough it was a large tumor inside.  He should never have waited since it bothered him for a few months.  Go right back to the docs!  If it is melanoma, best to get it taken care of right now.

OK, short visit.  There are 3 lymph nodes in my husband's chest that are a bit brighter this petscan.  They are small.  Dr. Hodi said it is hard to say what they are.  Could be Melanoma, or could be reaction to his recent (past 2 months) of Opdivo every 2 weeks.  We will go back in May.  Other than that things are clear and he seems to be able to do Opdivo with minor issues (some fatigue but a bit of prednisone seems to help that every other day).
