Thanks for the reply, Becky.  Charlie S was who I was referring to, and I do believe he had mucosal melanoma.  Sad to hear that he is no longer with us.  I am so happy to hear that your son is doing so well — what a relief for you.

This was such a great forum; I’m so sad that MRF felt that they needed to “fix” something that wasn’t broken.  In the process, they have broken many things.  We can’t even go back and capture relatively recent posts.  The wealth of knowledge that was the board archives has been destroyed.

Les, we are all doing well here.  Husband has a couple more MOHs surgeries scheduled, but they aren’t melanomas so we are thankful.   Try to stay cool!

Great minds, Cat.  I just got the email this morning.  I’m very sad … Julie was a special woman.

This is NOT the news I wanted to share.  :'(

      Hello Susan,

Thank you for your message. I’m sad to say that Julie is no longer with us. She passed away last October.

      Yours sincerely,

      Sharon

I’m sure I knew Julie’s last name once upon a time, but alas, the senior moments are becoming more frequent.  Anyone remember?

“Keyword”, not “keyboard”.    I also just realized you can’t edit your previous posts.  Not good.

Another issue … and maybe it’s just on my end.  Whenever I do a search, it will return several pages with that particular keyboard.  However, when I jump to Page 2, it’s blank.  So you might have 84 hits from your search but you only get to see the first ten.

      How is *that* helpful?

I haven’t been on the forum for many months, so I’m just now seeing this.  Kerri, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.  I had such great hope, as did everyone here, that Jake would be one that would beat the beast and go on to conquer the world.  I do know that he conquered our hearts, and you did, too.  Much love to you all.

I always have to wonder why things need to be “improved” when they were working pretty well…

Adapt and adjust.  Something we all have a lot of experience with this year.

I’m so very sorry to hear this. Your mom fought a great fight, and she was lucky to have you by her side. I’m sure she want you to go find joy in your memories, and in living your best life. Take care.

Oh, sweet Mike. I haven’t been on the board much lately, as COVID has upended my life and caused too many distractions. However, just *yesterday* I logged on just to see if anyone had heard from you. I was disappointed to see no news, but now I wish that there were no posts because you were out surfing, or parasailing, or just enjoying your family. I truly hate that you are going through such an awful ordeal. Melanoma is simply a beast, and you have fought it so valiantly, and never lost your concern for others also in the battle. Please know you aren’t forgotten, and that you are loved dearly by all of us in this community. Much love, Susan.

Hey there! Great news on the scans! Mostly, though, I just wanted to say I *love* your dog. I am a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel’s servant, as well. Whiskey (aka Lovejoy Whiskey River) runs this establishment, but he is a complete love bug. I know your Cavalier is a great therapist through all this!

Now this makes my day! I’m so glad to hear from you, Mike. I’m sorry it was such a rough month, but glad it is behind you now. Hopefully you will gain strength again quickly!
      Love you, buddy!

Hey, Tim! I just wanted to send good thoughts for your appointment tomorrow. I hope that you will hear that the therapy is working and that you get a great plan for moving forward!
