                I was wondering how Abraxene was doing for your mom. I progressed pretty quickly after just 4 treatments. I hated every minute I was on it. I have been to Sloan Kettering and have qualified for an immunotherapy trial to begin next week, but I didn’t have toxicities on other therapies. I pray the treatment she is on will work for your mom. If you need to seek further treatment, I highly recommend MSKCC, I am seeing Dr Alex Shoushtari and he is very encouraging. It’s a little hard with the travel but I am planning on it being with it! Hope all goes well for your mom.

                    Celeste, these are both very encouraging. Thank you. I am excited about the 40 percent who reached stable disease with a second MEK run. Also it was a relief to read the side effects we’re minimal, I had very little the first time around.

                      Thank you Barb, I will keep radiation option in my back pocket. I don’t think they will do in along with a trial otherwise I would choose both. I am hoping for the magic of MEK to begin. I will start meds on Wed so I am excited to get going. I appreciate your kind concern.

                          Thank you for your kindness and concern. It is nice to have the support of those who have been down the same road. I am also thankful to have two great teams of Melanoma specialists working with me to plan the next steps. Will keep in touch.

                            Thank you Celeste. Your response is encouraging. As we all know, the waiting game is difficult. I thought all of my symptoms sounded viral, but I will be glad to see a report confirming that. It is amazing what you have gone through and are NED. God is still working miracles!

                              This is encouraging although it sounds like monotherapy is less effective as combo therapy. I know my doctor wanted to start with the trial with the least toxicities. I am still hopeful my body responds to this. Thank you for finding that information it was helpful.

                                I hadn’t seen that post specifically, thanks for the information. I like to see they had a melanoma patient, was wondering if there were any. I’m not sure if there is still Keytruda in my system but hopefully I’m getting the combined benefits. I guess time will tell if this is worthwhile.
