My right knee really hurts for about 48-72 hours after my nivo infusion.  As others have said I believe this is a more common side effect.

We were never meant to shoulder this sort of burden on our own.  The typical human response is to shut down and go into isolation so I understand where you many of you are coming from.  In the long run though that type of mentality only makes this journey harder for us.  There might be some horrible, terrible, awful people who will judge you based on your health situation but the majority of people will want to help you and make your life easier.

There are no awards given out for those who keeps there disease a secret and deals with it all by their lonesome.  Fight the urge to keep this all to yourself.  It is healthy and liberating to put yourself out there and share your story especially if you need help.  This life is hard enough no need to make it harder.

      Best of luck to you!

Hang in there – If you havn't already heard this yet you will Everybody responds differently to this treatment.  Some good advice I was given when I started back in December was when you start to feel the side effects just remember that it is your body responding to the treatment.

The next day after I got the combo I could barely get out of bed – the fatigue was crazy but it always got better.  I experienced new side effects at each subsequent treatment and only made it through 3.  Your experience could be very different from mine though.

Best of luck with your treatment – if you have any future questions this is a great forum to bounce them off of.

I experienced a good amount of calf pain and cramping while on IPI. I would also get really bad foot and toe cramps.  Hang in there it will get better.
