Update on Gene: The inoperable tumor on the head pushing on the spine is gone and has new cell growth on the spine, the big one in the liver is 75% shrunk, the one in the lung is gone and all the others in the liver have greatly shrunk or totally are gone.
Hopefully by week36 he can be NED.
Now that is some great news.
Thank you all for your prayers we both really appreciate them.

Judy,
That is beyond great news! Hope continues and I"m so happy for you both! Having started ipi myself, I can only wish that I have the success Gene is getting.
I wish you both continued success and NED on Week 36.

This is a fantasic day on the board. I am so happy to be reading about such good news from everyone. Congratulations and best of luck to Gene's NED status. I'll be looking forward to reading even better news at week 36. Keep the momentum going!

What great news we all needed to hear some good Ippi stories. We should change his name to The Genie!
best wishes

Hi newbie,
In March 2011, I started with the Ipi Clinical Trial with the GM-CSF. I believe it is the 10 mg per kg but not exactly sure of the ratio but do know it is the 10.
The GM-CSF is a 1 ml shot taken for 14 days then 1 week off before starting again. For 12 weeks had the Ipi every 3 weeks and now in the maintenance get it ever 12 weeks from the last one while still taking the GM-CSF as before.
