Happy New Year!!!!
Though my dear peeps and ratties here are well acquainted with my story, in the effort to provide hope to new members….
I was diagnosed with Stage 3b melanoma in 2003, progressing to Stage 4 with brain and lung mets in 2010. I was saved with SRS to the brain met, surgical removal of the right upper lobe of my lung, and 2 1/2 years of an Opdivo trial back when it was called MDX-1106. I have lived with melanoma for 16 years and remained NED for melanoma more than 8. Yes! Melanoma treatments have come a long way, baby!!! Here's hoping for even more effective treatments in the coming year.
As for my latest crazy, I am DONE with my adjuvant CAPOX treatment for ex-goblet cell carcinoma of the appendix! (Thank God and Greyhound they're gone!!!!) I am finally feeling better. For those interested, here's the latest installment in that tale:
I am ever so grateful for the support that each of you have so generously provided over these past 4 months. It has meant more to me and mine than you will ever know.
May the coming year bring much love, peace, and health to each of you. Love, les

Celeste,
So happy to read this post. My eyes are welling up as I write. It's amazing how much people who you have never met can mean so much to you and have such an impact on your life. In a little while I will be meeting a friend who is beginning a pretty serious cancer journey of his own and I find my self thinking "what would Celeste say to encourage this friend." I wish you and your's a joyful and healthy 2019.
BTW I'm with Ed, I only go to your blog for the pics also 🙂 !

So glad the bubbly is back in Bubbles! I can't imagine what you have gone through (anything called goblet must be so tough). Quite honestly, I check your blog and have been waiting to hear that you are feeling better, it was so tough knowing that you were hurting, etc. Celeste, quite simply, we need you and you are invaluable to us. If I ever have anything wrong, I would follow your advice in a heartbeat, highest compliment I can give. Here's to a great 2019!i

Thank you for the update and the recap. You have always been the pack leader offering needed information when many of us need options and support. 16 years is a miracle and we love stories with miracles here!! Sorry for this last round you suffered, once again you are sharing your fight and we are all in it with you. There sure is a bond in suffering and surviving!
Prayers as always!!
