      Hi all

just wanted to share with you that my biopsies fromfriday are clear. They took five biopsies from 2 sites in my chest and all clear of melanoma despite very hot pet scan

it seems the hot spots were likely granulomas. They didn't check the liver and neck spots but assume they are also not melanoma

we will continue to check with 3 monthly pets but even a false negative is better than a positive

thanks to all for suggestions if it progresses

WHEW! That's great news! Nothing like giving your nerves a good tussle with a hot PET. Yeeks!

Hey niki. Also your suggestion of the sulfazasine worked great!  I am down to 2 a day ( from 4) and take a plaquenil and an anti inflammatory. Back at work full time and even had a game of golf last week! No prednisone.

That's AWESOME! I'm so glad it worked for you too! No steriods is a wonderful thing… the side effects just make me feel super yucky… I was thrilled my docs found a way around them. : )
