    Good Afternoon, Friends!

I have good news to share!  I am officially a NERD again!  That is I had scans last week and I have No Evidence of Recurring Disease!  How about them apples!?!

So do the happy dance with me!

I am now 2/3rds of the way through the Lung Cancer Triathlon.  Surgery- check, Chemo- check!  The radiation phase is next and I think I start up this coming Friday.  I've never done radiation, so this will be a new experience for me.  I think I'm going to tell myself it's just like going on a ride at Disneyland!!

Mel seems to be in check, or at least I haven't found any new intransits.  So it's all good!

So looking forward to being done!  But, I'll stop complaining. it is working and for that I'm grateful!

    Thank you friends!

    Shalom!

    Julie

Way to go Julie! Great news! Stoked to hear. Can’t give any advice as far as radiation goes. I did have a consult with Rock Stars pick (can’t remember name) and was impressed. Keep up the fight and forever Nerd. Best, Paul

Congratulation Julie, and you will handle the radiation like you did the rest of your treatments.Julie I have a question for you regarding the joint pains on Keytruda. For how long after your Keytruda treatment did you have to struggle with the pain?

        Thanks,  Manfred

        Thanks Manfred!

I still struggle with joint pain. I think it's been a little over a year now.  It's not as bad as it was in the beginning.  Now I think it's basically turned into arthritis in that everything that was broken before Keytruda may flare up.

In the beginning, prednisone made a world of difference.  My joints were so stiff I couldn't move.  High dose prednisone got me mobile again.

This probably isn't the answer you're looking for. But as I understand it, these autoimmune related side effects eventually will burn themselves out.  Though I could be wrong.  So sorry you're dealing with this, too!

        Hope this helps,

        Shalom,

        Julie

Thanks for sharing Julie. So pleased for you!! I still have joint pains as well. It’s 2 years since I stopped treatment and I tried prednisone, inflixinab and lots of lesser immunosuppressants. But it only bothers me when it’s in my arms as then I can’t work very well. Anne-Louise
