Hello there!
My father has been taking this meds for 6 months.
He spends some time in hospital with fevers, and terrible freeze shivering..
He is weak, and also he is not able to walk long time and stay active for the whole day.. But its getting better and better everyday.
You have to addapt to this treatment, take your time, do not try to work hard and be very active.. Staying active is ok, but also save your energy, relax..
I am very tired when take antibiotics.. This treatment is very effective, and kills cancer very fast, and it requires a lot of your energy.. I know its frustrating, I try to keep my father positive too.. My father had a lot of tumors in his skin.. A lot of bumps and balls, he was unable to walk, cancer appeared in his lungs too.. Imunotherapy didn’t work for him. After this treatment his lungs are clear (after 3 months) and his skin is nearly clear too..
Stay positive and relax more. Your body deserves it, because it fights now a lot and needs energy for the fight. Not for hobbies :o) -

Hello there, my father has been taking taf/mek for three months and we slightly noticed he is loosing his hair, too. Just noticed it in his cap. But it’s nothing dramatic.
He noticed his silver hair are filling with colour, don’t know how is it possible… He really looks younger.. X-D
I know two ppl who take this treatment for a year without any dramatic hair loose. -

Hello there :o)My farher was diagnosed with III C stage on april 2018. He had reoccurence after 3 months after first melanoma removal. He was on Keytruda (similar to Opdivo) for 6 dosages, but it didn’t work for him, too. Imunotherapy failed.. We were absolutely desperate, because his skin arround initial melanoma scar was full of big tumors (tenis and golf balls) .. Cancer was spreading.. Into his lungs.. He was laying in hospital, lost 30 kg.. I was crying everyday, had feeling he could die everyday there.. He looked soo poor.. So weak.. UNTIL…. They put him on TAF/MEK treatment..
From about 40 skin ball tumors, he has only two of them now!!! His lungs are clear!! His lymph node shrinked, and is clear now..
It’s a kind of a mirracle! He is BRAF positive.. And it worked perfectly..
I wish you had so great response to this treatment, too!!
Wish you all the best!
Hope sharing our story will fill your heart with hope.. My father is 68 yo. -

Hello Ed,
Thank you much for your reply and advice.
He nearly died because cancer spreaded into his lungs, and his abdomen was absolutelly covered by one hundred of tumors (biggest was like tenis ball) . He was in such pain, he prayed to God to take him.. I have never seen anything like this on the internet.. His case is quite unique in my country ( doctors from our capital city have never seen so many tumors on skin in their whole carrier)
I think that ipi/nivo would be the best solution.. But keytruda is very fast and available posibility here. To get ipi/nivo is very risky due to time.. And there is a high possibility that our health insurance company will not pay for the treatment due to his age (69 y.o.) we do not have so much time to wait. . ☹️
