          I had increased joint and back pain when I was on NIVO. It is a side effect. At the time I needed percosets for the back pain, but I limited my use.  Now that I am off of my NIVO I still have joint pain issues (I am 53 YO). I find the best way I treat it is drink a lot of home brewed green tea infuzed with fresh raw ginger and cinamon. By having it daily my joint pain is minimum to not at all, but I notice it return when I do not cook or use the ginger.

            I had 32 treatments of Nivo and I had short term memory lost too. I have been off the drug 1.5 years and my memory has improved.

              I got very depressed one day 30 mins after my CT scans and I also had to have my contrast level reduced because of unset kidney failure. I think the contrast is bad news and if you are NED you way want to consider a lower dose of the contrast.

                I had vision issues early in my Optivo. Had my eyes examined. Turns out it was dry eye and yes that is a documented side effect. It got better over time and use eye drops

                    Best advice is spend $300 and go to a dermo and have a biopsy. Then determine if you have to do anything further.

                        I was in this study and an 2.5 years cancer free and I feel good. Thank you BMS.

                          You should ask your oncologist this question. Personally I would pass on trying to make a baby until you get this all worked out. If after your PET scan and if you need treatment drugs you will not want to be pregnant.  

                          I am a man but I was told when I was on a year of NIVO I was not permitted to have sex. Dr did not want me knocking anyone up since it is not known what can be transfered during sex or how the drugs could affect the unborn baby. 

                          Please ask your doctor.

                            What clinical trial are you asking about? You can read my posts on my clinical trial. I had 25 infusions of NIVO over a 50 week period. I am stage 3B and NED 2 years post op and one year after completing my treatment. Very minimal side effects.

                                Celeste,
                                I know you have been here for many years like me (4 years). I dont have any of the circumstances listed above. Yes we talked about protein pump inhibitors. I took the purple pill for a short time 15 years ago, however my Creatinine levels have steadily climbed during my melanoma chemo treatment and after with all my CT scans. My last CT scans in Dec 2019 i was denied because my Creatinine was 1.62.
                                My Nephrologist is at a loss and nothing he can do other that stop my CT scans and switch to MRI. I was told not to take any pain relievers but Tylenol.

                                  I am seeing a Nephrologist. I had a full blood and urine testing. I am 54 years old white male. My blood pressure is 127/78 area, my cholesterol is 190, i do not smoke, i do not have diabetes. My eGFR is 56 my measured creatinine clearance is 65 and my Creatinine is 1.42 but has been as high as 1.62. Everything else is normal. My ultrasound shows my kidneys have shrunk in size for unknown reason. No fibrosis, not blockage and no stones.
                                  My nephrologist is at a loss as i am not on any medications, so he has to attribute this to my extensive opdivo chemo and so many full body ct scans with dye.

                                    Thanks, yes I am am blessed for my treatment and also that it went well for me. Now after 2.5 years I am trying to figure out what the proper next steps are.  I also want to have my power port removed.

                                    I complete 2.5 years of my clinical trial, but I just quit because my trial doctor and the trial sponser started yanking my chain on contintinued treatment and costs. The sponser  wants my CT data, but no longer wants to pay for it. I made the choice to move on.
