Great news and much appreciation, Tom!!!!  The heading of this post is sadly, rather misleading!!!  The real news is actually much bigger!  Per the announcement from a variety of sources including OncLive and the FDA: "The FDA has approved nivolumab (Opdivo) as an adjuvant treatment for patients with completely resected melanoma with lymph node involvement or metastatic disease, based on findings from the phase III CheckMate-238 trial."

This is super important and means that folks with completely resected melanoma who had it in their lymph nodes or as other metastatic disease can have treatment with the anti-PD-1 product, Opdivo, no matter if you are a Stage III OR Stage IV patient.   No more limitations to those who are just "unresectable".

Here's the whole story, including details of theCheckMate 238 trial, for those of you who are interested:

Thanks to all the ratties (and one very special mouse!!!)!  You have changed the world.  Love, c
