I know! The only countries where I have no problem with my name are France and Sweden ( lots of French history and influence in Sweden so maybe that's why) I okay with the Sydney symphony and glad to say I've been back at work since August.

Yeah for "cancer free"!  : )  Boo for the air leak! Those chest tubes can be horribly uncomfortable… particularly if you need to sneeze or cough! Does the surgeon think the sarcoidosis may be contributing to the continuation of the air leak? I was a "slow healer" too. The surgery went really well, and I bounced back to feeling normal quite rapidly… but that persistant air leak sure took it's sweet time to seal shut! I got so tired of looking at the plural fluid collection in that little plastic box, that I began slipping my teacup poodle's sweatshirts and t-shirts over it. HA! I had the cutest chest drain the nurses had ever seen! ha ha ha! Hang tough… it'll close up sooner or later. One more question… in the symphony… do you play a wind instrument? Just curious if large lung capacity may contribute to persistent air leaks. Although… Celeste… were you running prior to lung surgery? Because that would shoot my potential theory in the foot.

Yup… there goes that theory. BOOM! I guess I'm just a slow healer… or my surgeon's fellow wasn't terribly skilled with the stapler. indecision
