Snickers, can you tell me how much baking soda he would use, and how often he would drink it each day?

        Thank you,

        Travis

Ali, I've been following your story for some time now because I've been using you as an example to my oncologist.  My fiance, Kaitlyn, 23, has Stage IV Melanoma.  It's in her brain.  Her Zelboraf recently stopped working.  Temodar was one of the options her oncologist is considering.  But, I don't want to do Temodar unless we do Ipilimumab with it at the same time.

Can you tell me, how did you convince your oncologist to let you go with both treatments?  Also, did your insurance cover both, or just one?

Thank you so much in advance for the information, and congratulations on your great news.

                    Hey Everyone,

Thank you for your thoughts and advice.  I am looking into PD-1 and a couple other trials.  The only problem is, we don't know if her brain mets have progressed.  If so, that makes things even more difficult.

Nahmi, you are right it seems, her tumors seem to have gotten much more aggressive.  We speak with her oncologist on Friday.  Even that feels like an eternity away.

Again, thank you all for your help and kind words.  Hopefully something comes up that helps.

Dammit, I wish our oncologist would have told us that.  Her tumor burden at the time was not very heavy.  Well, hopefully we can get on something quickly then.  Hopefully that something can work.  That's pretty discouraging about Zelboraf.

Thank you, Valerie.  I was just curious because I called them and they said because she had 5 brain tumors that she wouldn't qualify for these TIL clinical trials.  Even if those 5 tumors are stable, their limit is 3.  That's why I was curious how many Phil had.  Thank you for providing me with that information.  Good luck to you two and hopefully the good news keeps rolling in.
