Sounds great but what is MFM? Is there some personal reason you are doing this and do you have a link to MRF?

Hi Kevin, My daughter went through this trial three years ago when it was still quite new. She then went into a Compassionate Care trial with Ipi. She had scans this week and she has been NED for 2 years now. I spent some of the time with here at NCI and it was a hard trial. But look at what the rewards have been for her. Please stay strong. I hope you have someone to be there with you. I will be sending you positive vibes. Pat

Emily. As a caregiver, I have walked in your shoes. You can continue to support your husband, be there for him in every sense of the word. As for his part, some people find antidepressants helpful, some turn to their religious advisor, some seek professional counseling. Every one seems to have to find their own way out of the depths Some find taking an active role in persuing research, options and various treatments a help. Some find this board to be a life saver. Do any of these sound like your husband? The other part is your well being. Be sure to give yourself permission to grieve, pamper yourself with whatever works for you. The part of caregiver is heartbreaking and difficult. Stay strong. I know how tough it is.

Hi MIke. I am sorry to hear about your brother. But in the 5 years I have been involved with this disease, I have noticed a lot of melanoma that appears in places that never saw the sun. I am not down-playing the danger of the sun and tanning but I think even the literature agrees it is not the only cause. Good luck to your brother and its good he has you to guide his fight. Pat
