      Hi Brian –

I see Dr. Royal and Dr. Gltiza. Dr. Royal performed my CLND – loved him and his nurses/PA's are wonderful!!! Dr. Glitza is also great. She is very detailed and super sweet. Good luck on your apt. Hope all goes well.

Hi! I had a clnd in September 2015 at my right groin. Like every one else says, it is a personal decision. I also had thoughts of not doing it bc of the research coming out about it not prolonging survival rates. But at the end of the day, for me, all I could think is – I want the cancer out! I got an infection about a week after surgery and was in the hospital for 8 days. The infection rate of this surgery I believe is pretty high so also keep that in mind. I have suffered some minor lymphedema – mostly at my ankle. The feeling in my upper thigh area is numbish. Good luck with your decision! I don't think there isnt any right or wrong – just what is best for u. If u have any questions, feel free to reach out at anytime. Mkirkland11@yahoo.com

Hi! I was diagnosed with nodular melanoma July 2015. I am 32 years old! Mine was on the top of my right foot. To me mine looked like a fluid filled mole. It was raise off the foot. It was a medium tan color – never odd shaped and never black. It was soft to touch but petty tight filling. I have had two surgeries in my foot, skin graft and had one positive lymph node at my right groin. I had my lymph nodes removed in September and just finished 4 rounds of yervoy. Sending well wishes your way! Feel free to email anytime if u have questions. Mkirkland11@yahoo.com
