((Hugs)) I would offer the fluids and food as much as you can-she need hydration and of course energy. I know it must me very difficult to eat when feeling so bad. I would ask the Dr if they recommend a liquid shake. That may be more tolerable in between rest periods.
Sending your Mom lots of speedy recovery and get well wishes! She is in my thoughts and prayers. You are a wonderful daughter, and I'm sure she appreciates all you are doing for her!

Hi, I can can completely understand your concerns. I also agree with have the them both looked at by the 2nd doctor. Request them to be biopsied. It's horrible to worry and wonder-it will give you peace of mind and of course remove anything troublesome. Wish you well and let us know how you are doing:)

Thanks! Definitely not implying it's melanoma related- but kinda confusing why my primary dr has to consult with the derm specialist?! Obviously could be from so many other things. Just wanted to get some insight.

I agree! I have so many it drives me crazy. This device and app have helped me better manage my skin. I also had the body photography, however, everything looks so tiny on the photos so it's hard to check for change-but the pics r good to see if it's a new mole or not, I suppose.

Hi:) I have to say I am very impressed with it so far! If you google MoleScope on the app store you will find it. I believe it is free. And it allows you to take pictures of your moles and organize it in a very professional way. It even allows you to compare previous pictures from older dates. I just purchased the scope which can attach to your cell phone. It cost $100. And I believe it was well worth it. My dermatologist was very impressed also. I wish I could share some of the pictures to show you. If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask me it has given me some peace of mind on a few suspicious moles. By the way you do not need to purchase the scope you can still use the camera on your phone. However, the scope allows you to zoom in and magnify the skin which is amazing.

Thanks for your reply, Jen! I should've added it is brown pigmentation. I will let the derm know…thinking it was part of another nevi or two that just got stuck in the end of the scar?

Thank you for your input! I appreciate it:) I also have had 5-6 Basel cell cancers. I also just finished using Zyclara on the side of my nose and on three spots on my right arm:/ ughhhh that is NOT fun! My in situ was a tiny black dot that slowly grew. Definitely the ugly ducking sign that caught my eye. It's embarrassing that my derm visits were for "problem visits" and never for a check up. So I'm starting backwards….have my baseline photos and now understand importance of monthly exams.
I am definitely looking into getting a good magnifying glass or cheap scope for my cell phone. It is so overwhelming and now want most of my worrisome moles off-even though I know I can't do that. There are two, however, that I am requesting to be removed. I have learned my lesson for sure regarding the sun-at the age of 43. Just depressing once the summer comes around and I will be worriedabout too much exposure. I have young kids who play outside and swim.
Thanks again for your help:) wish you the best!
