I am a Stage 3b melanoma case – diagnosed June 2008  –  4 mm primary (on left fore arm, Ulcerated ) , big satellite tumor, 2 lymph nodes affected  – and  my funeral has still  NOT  happened (5 years and still kicking ) !!

It is normal to be scared with the initial diagnosis  – but I feel you are over-reacting … there are a lot of treatment options these days and I am sure with proper conventional treatment/care (and avoiding mid day Sun , physical exercise, Yoga, supplements  etc. ) , your husband will survive this.  Also, I strongly suggest that your husband should opt for the one month strong dose of interferon instead of the one year thing.

How dare my doctor tell me to :

         stop smoking

         stop abusing alcohol

stop eating foods that cause cancer

         stop tanning etc. etc etc.

I will do all the above  – it is the govt's responsibility to find a cure for cancer  – I HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE IRRESPONSIBLE

      Laurie,

It is truly a great selfless act on your part to have such thoughts !

The reason I am replying is this  –  there might be a way to save your life by doing some YOGIC breathing exercises .

I know it is very hard for you to believe it – but you have nothing to lose by trying … and I will teach you as another selfless act on my part…

I live in New Jersey  (stage 3b survivor  – 4.5 years NED and in excellent health ) – I practice Yoga everyday.

Please let me know your thoughts on this…

      Regards,

      Kish

Is this a site for discussing melanoma or propogating personal beliefs in fairy tales ? I fing this posting kind of not suited here…   if a Muslim had posted a story like this about an Islamic nation, I am SURE there would be people jumping with rage.

Yes, she still has cancer – but it is controlled and not spreading  – a BIG feat  if it was yervoy or some other western drug not to mention the disastrous side effects !

If the cancer can be controlled without ANY side effects , I would choose cellect which is almost free and does not need insurance hassles etc.

Come on guys ! there certainly exist other ways to deal with cancer apart from EXPENSIVE drugs (and I am a living example  – stage 3b and NED for 4 years  – no lymphadema  – nothing )
