      Karen,

I am so glad you like your doctor & you are going forward.

I am new here so I am trying to learn about everything.

When you have brain mets treated, will you be able to get into the Merck trial immediately, or do you have to wait a certain amount of time to prove to Merck that your brain mets are stable before Merck will let you in the trial?? If so, how long do you have to wait?

Good Luck on Tuesday and thank you for responding to my question about Merck & waiting to get into trial.

      Hi karen,

Just wanted to wish you luck with your scans.

My husband is considering Merck pd1 if ipi fails.

Please tell me what is the "testing kit" from Merck used for?

For what it is worth, I was on PD1 and NED for over 1 + years  while on  PD1 then got a brain met. Not sure if PD1 crosses the brain blood barrrier to kill tumors in the brain

      Hi Maggie,

I'm so sorry to hear everything you've been through.

Sometimes Oncs ONLY offer patients clinical trials that are available to them at their site. You might want to consider look at https://clinicaltrials.gov/  and trying to find other trials that might fit your needs.

Just out of curiosity Who is you ONC and where are you being treated?

      Hi Karen,

I am a Newbie to this world of melanoma & this blog site. I have learned alot by just reading your posts.

I am so sorry that you were told you have brain mets. You must be devastated.

Does this mean that you cannot get on the PD1 trial that you have fought so hard to get qualified for?

This is very scary you need treatment before your ear get worse.

      I will pray for you.
