New Treatments Offer Renewed Hope for Melanoma Patients

Just a decade ago, advanced melanoma was considered a death sentence by Western medicine. In fact, most specialists were more focused on end-of-life care than actually healing their patients. The standard treatment? Chemotherapy.

      But that’s all changed.

Here we go again! Another post from a gut-less anon. Did you even read the article?

Why not just post the web-link from the last time we had this debate?

Back again I see. I thought you vowed never to return.

FYI to all that that see this. Please take Gene or Judy as she sometimes posts under his account. With a grain of salt.

Hitchens, You don’t know me very well as I only post things about giving people insight that some have survived from Ipi since my husband
has survived. I offer help if it is something I know about or to give someone support. I always sign my name Judy loving wife of Gene. Yes
I do use his user name as I see no reason to start another when I am not the patient and have never had melanoma. I am a care giver to
someone who was a Stage IV and had numerous spots of melanoma and whom I thought might not make it. I thank God every day that
he did survive. So from a caregivers stance I think I do know how other caregivers are feeling and can possibly help them. So don’t be so
                quick to cut me down.

Judy (loving wife of Gene Stage IV and after IPI and GMCSF has been NED for over 7 years)

I don’t know you nor do you know me. What I do know is that you and possibly Gene solicit unproven treatments. I am a stage 3 survivor because I followed the defined standard of care. My sister in law followed the course of treatments you advocate. She is dead!!!!
She died less than 6 months from diagnosis. She was a holistic practitioner. She ate organic exclusively for 30 years. She did not smoke and lived in the gym.
Here treatment consisted of juicing to eliminating the toxins. So your posts advocating that nutrition is the only way to prevent cancer did not work for her.
Cancer is the lottery you never want to win. That said once one gets the diagnosis the best we can do is offer support via real options and not false hope.

I have not solicited any treatments. My daughter who passed from cancer (not melanoma) was a very active person and was a mail person who delivers mail by walking house to house. She followed what the oncologist said and did chemo and she lived about 12 months but almost died twice from the chemo before she quit it. I sign my name on what I post as Judy loving wife of Gene in case you missed that in my last post. I do not post as Gene and he doesn’t post as me even though we use the same profile.

I thought the article was quite good. Instead of getting on Gene’s case, try reading it yourself before replying and making judgements. It talks about latest medical advances, immunotherapy, as well as some preventative measure you can take, The emphasis appears to be on the medical advances.

                        Hi Linny
I did read the article and if you did you would have noticed the immunotherapy information was sandwiched between non scientific, not proven approaches to cancer treatment and prevention.
If you have been falling Gene and or Judy s posts you will see this is a common theme of their posts.

I have noticed post before claiming supporting evidence for homeopathic cures. But this one takes the cake. At the bottom is an ad for an Oriental tour to get neural cancer remedies.

Pretty much if they are trying to sell you something as a cure for cancer be it vitamins, supplements or whatever I figure it;s got to be a BS scam.
