Hi Family, boy am i messed up, as i told you, i started the combo ipi/nivo last Friday {5/11/18} and now on day 10 days later the nausea is worse {now with vomiting} my apitite is completly gone, if it wernt for my wife making me drink Ensures, for one, it gave me something to throw up {excuse the visual}, two, it put some much needed nutrients in me. I think my last meal that i realy could eat was days ago, 2 maybe 3 days ago??…Iv had real bad headaches, not constant, just when i lean down, a throbbing type pain…

Can i ask, does anyone know if THC & CBD can help with side effects? please reply, iv read that it does but would rather hear it from the horses mouth…

You all take good care, i know im trying….Mike

My fiance really struggled with low appetite and nausea after ipi/nivo! We're not sure if it was the treatment or cancer or what, but it was definitely bad. Talk to your doc and see if there are other anti-nausea meds you can go on. My fiance's pain management specialist took nausea really seriously (especially since it was affecting his ability to eat) and spent some appointments with us experimenting with a couple different drugs and dosing schedules.

As for THC and CBD — it *definitely* helps my fiance!!! He feels so much better after taking that. Improves his mood, nausea, ability to sleep etc. We have a tincture (THC and CBD oil that can go in the mouth or you can put it in a drink or food) as well as pill form. He used cannabic pre-cancer, though, so he is used to it. Maybe start small and talk to your doc first before taking too much!

Sorry to hear you're feeling so bad. I hope things get better for you soon.

From your description, I can feel from here the T-cells wreaking havoc with unwelcome cancer cells.

Hi Mike, sorry to hear you are feeling so awful. I don’t have any experience with the nivo portion but when I was on ipi I had intense nausea that lasted just over three weeks. After that I tolerated it just fine. I hope this is just your body adapting to the drug. Keep up the fight! Nancy

Have your wife brew you some ginger tea, just sip it as often as you can to ease your nausea. I hope you are feeling better soon. I believe your body is just fighting the beast with all its might.
