Kevin just left about a half hour ago to go  back for his MRI.  His PET scan was clear a couple weeks ago, but part of his liver "took on more constrast" than the other.  No measurable mass, no numbers with the amount of uptake, blood work was clean as a whistle, but MRI was suggested to see what is going on.  I was told that on a scale from 1-10 of the worry factor that this is a 1.5.  This coming from the Treatment Coordinator at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Ctr.  She and the doctor only work with mel, so I'm putting a lot of trust in her, the doctor and God.  Praying that this isn't anything, but the roller coaster continues. .  .

Wishing you great news!  I understand the anxiety, my husband's next scans are in July.  He had a 19 mm melanoma on his shoulder removed in February!  Many prayers!

Guess my wife left everyone in suspense :). Everything turned out fine. MRI showed no issues with liver other than some cysts that the doc said were common/normal. I was never too concerned with this scan as I have felt really good and have fully recovered from the surgery earlier in the year. So still NED and still no additional treatment. Next debate is the 3 month vs 6 months scans. My wife wants 3 and I am ok with 6… my thought is that my body will tell me if something is off and that can prompt a scan if needed prior to 6 months. For now I will just live my life.
