Hey everyone! I wanted to report that my recent scans were borrrrrring! Still NED, a full year under my belt now, yay!

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season as much as one can in some situations. I spent 3 holiday seasons dealing with the scary uncertainty of whether or not it could be my last one. Now that I am a full year with NED status, I am feeling like I'll have quite a few more Christmas mornings in my future.

I say this to bring some hope to anyone who may need it at this time.

Sending lots of love and hugs to you all!

    Merry Christmas!

Jenn!!!!! So happy for you! And yes INDEED, you will have a lot of decades of Xmas mornings to testify to your journey! I don’t come to the board often but since we were diagnosed a few months apart about 2+ years ago, I am EXTREMELY happy to see you recovered from this impossible scary place! Am a bit over the top these days, forgive me (lol). As for me, after much research and third and fourth opinions and somehow restaged at 2b earlier this year and still NED, I’m doing as best as I can with a lot of lifestyle changes since there is nothing offered for me at this moment because of my stage and because I am in Canada; diet and all the extra non-clinically approved, yet scientifically researched modalities to boost the immune system as much as possible and trying to get all the systems back to balance: hormones, blood markers, inflammation, etc… I will be going to my 2.5 year scan in February and for the first time since the initial diagnosis, I am cautiously more optimistic about the outcome.

I am still on the hunt and hungry as hell for new information on the beast as always and I wish you and your loved ones the best Xmas ever!

Take good care and enjoy! NED now and very soon, when the clinical trials history results will have matured a bit, you will be referred as cured. One day, soon enough, they will use the word because FINALLY, we will have the long term results to prove it!!!

      Lots of Love!

Great news, Jenn! So happy for you! I hope my mother will be NED too, but currently we are waiting for another set of scans, as her PET/CT in the end of November showed some enlarged lymph nodes in her chest. She had inoperable pelvic nodes which diasppeared and she had no other mets, that's why her onc thinks they might be reactive nodes as side effect from treatment. I follow your posts and as I remember something similar happenned to you. Hope things will turn out well for us too! Enjoy the holidays! Sending lots of hugs

Hi Tracy, reactive nodes are so common and yes I had all sorts of them. Seemed like every scan for a while there was a new node lighting up. But, after a while it stopped and now nothing shows up at all. Sending good vibes to your mom!
