      Hi Krista,

Don't have much advice to give you as far as headaches go. I'm stage 3b for the last 7 years but just wanted to let you know my thoughts and prayers are with you! Hang in there and never ever give up!

Sure wish I could join you!

Done my share of charity bike rides and I think they are more about fund raising than anyone who has the disease participating.

Did a pediatric cancer ride a few weeks back and not one kid in sight!

It's all good though if we can hope that our participation and contribution can help.

I guess our melanoma rides should happen in the dark!

Oh, and as cyclist, don't worry too much about the mileage. If you can do 15 miles you can easily do 25. I think my highest mileage was 20 miles when I did a 35 miler, so you'll be fine.

Don't start out too fast and just find your pace. Think of the pizza and ice cream when you finish – that did it for me!

Going up that hill, every few minutes get up and pedal. A lot of folks say to stay seated but it's good to get up and stretch.

You'll do fine. Just don't start out like it's the tour de france; link in with a group that you feel comfortable with and let us know how how you did!

Just like this stupid cancer, it's a marathon, not a sprint!

Wow, I guess he's taken a different Hippocratic Oath – the one that says I'm in it for the money.

I'd be out of there in a heartbeat.

Isn't Moffitt Cancer Center out your way? I'm on the opposite coast, but I think they are a "Cancer Center of Excellence".

If I was in FL that's where I'd start.

Not sure where you live, but I'd be looking around for another derm.

Sounds to me like they're just scheduling multiple visits in order to bill the insurance company for more money.

Ask the doc directly why they can't do all 3. Lots of times there is a big disconnect between the doc and the front office and/or nurse.

Although I don't recommend it, I don't even go back to get the stitches out. Just do it myself. I started a new job and there is no way I can keep taking time off.

      What area are you in?
