Hello,
I was wondering if you could give me specifics about your eyelid lesion? My 11 year old daughter has a newly emerged black lesion (picture is posted on the Facebook site) with irregular boarders on her lower lid that 2 Derms have dubbed “highly suspicious for melanoma”. I would love to hear more about your story or pictures if you have any.
Thank You

Hello!
I would love more info regarding your eyelid melanoma. My 11 year old dauhter is having a strange fecently appearing fas growing black spot removed from her lower left lid on Wednesday. I have been desperate for info but have not found much as far as similarity to my daughters lesion. We have had 2 Derms say it is “highly suspicious” for melanoma, but because of her
Young age from what I’ve read a malignancy is unlikely?? Thanks for any info.

Thank you for the info. I have read some on the MOHS technique, but I don’t fully understand how it’s different from repeat removal until you have clean margins?? I have also read that eyelid melanoma is rare, and rarer in my daughter age. This has given us some comfort. My aunt is battling melanoma as we speak, which is dishartening. In all my searching I have yet to find a single photo that resembles her lesion. We had spent several weeks in the Arizona sun at the waterpark before this popped up. I am a strict Mom when it cones to sun screen, but unfortunately you can’t put it on your eyes 🙁 -
