I lost my husband to Melanoma May 28, 2011. He had a mole removed mid back Feb 2009, went stage IV March 2010. I found a wonderful therapist who was able to help us immensely. I would make that recommendation to you. Reach out for help from someone who has professional training.

My husband was a patient at NIH about this time last year. It took us less than a week to get an appt. We waited 2 days for his surgery after our consultation out there. They move very quickly and efficiently. Much more so than the private sector. I can not say enough great things about our experiences. It was extra ordinary care. Good luck.

Barb: My husband started out at the U of M Ann Arbor. I would advise you to get a second and maybe third opinion, from melanoma experts. Feel free to contact me. [email protected]

Decison made, he would not survive Yervoy. Hospice has been engaged and right now he's pain free and enjoying a nap at home in the sunshine with a cat on his lap. Man this sucks………
