Just wanted to say I hope you get good news from your surgery.  Also, you are in good hands.  I have been a patient at UVA with Dr Slingluff since June 2010.  Diagnosed at stage 3B and still 3B and NED.  I have had a good experience with the entire staff at his office.

Another close facility  you might want to contact is UNC-Chapel Hill.  I have attended some of their melanoma conferences and have come away with a good impression of their surgeons and oncologists.  I am not a patient of UNC but would consider going there myself if I ever need another opinion.

      Best of luck!

Since others have brought up UVA, that is where I go.  I see Dr Slingluff and have been very pleased with him and his staff.  I am blessed to be celebrating my 3 year "cancerversary" next month and NED!

I think anything that is "not normal" for you for this long should be evaluated.  You know  your body better than anyone else.  It may be nothing or at least, not melanoma related.  Either way, the sooner you know……the better.  Hope you feel better soon and keep us updated.

Thanks for the upbeat post!  Next month I will be 2 1/2 years out – 3B also.  I hope to be able to post 11 years NED one day too.
