The side effects of the BRAF/MEK combo are very mild.  Perhaps some mild diarrhea, easily controlled with imodium.  Jenna did not even experience the bad rash with the combo that she did on the MEK alone.  Biggest side effects…hope and elation, as you feel (if you have palpable tumors) your tumors shrink.

YES! and it's the GSK BRAF drug.  Thanks for posting.

Jenna and I had the pleasure of meeting Kurt at NIH a year ago.  He was an inspiration to us, and a kick to meet in person.  Now we will look forward to meeting up with him again "out of person".  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Hyperbaric oxygen treatments are beneficial for  burns including radiation.  My daughter was able to do them for nerve damage due to radiation.  The treatments are time consuming, but easy…just lay in the "tank" and watch TV.

Hi Tina,  I would recommend researching the trials that you are interested in, and then see where they are doing those trials in AZ.  My daughter was treated at Premiere Oncology in Scottsdale last Oct through May.  It was one of the only locations doing the GSK MEK inhibitor trial, so we traveled from CA to AZ.  I know that they are doing other targeted therapy trials there now.  Also T-Gen does some targeted therapies.

      Best,
