I've been strictly Paleo for 15 months now and I have never felt better.  I also stated working out at a CrossFit gym the same week and the combination has resulted in a 60 pound weight loss (from size 12-14 to 0-2, well sometimes a 4), 125# back squat, 215# deadlift and I am 54 years old.  Does do anything for melanoma? I have no idea, but I am over the chronic back pain I've had for 10 years from 3 herniated discs, arthritis, scoliosis and a sacral cyst.  Besides that, I figure it can never be wrong to be fit and healthy if melanoma decides to come back for me the third time.

I even started a blog and will be happy to point you in the direction of some good books if you are interested.

Good for you, John.  I am just aiming for a 5k right now…  I can manage 2 miles of my 2.8 route, so small steps for me!  Hubs is aiming for that marathon…he has no trouble going 14-15 right now.   Love my Merrell barefoot shoes!

Have you read BORN TO RUN?  Fabulous and really inspiring.

Hope you all are doing well.  I  bet Jedd is getting bigger and bigger.

      congratulations.

John (!!!) what you are too modest to mention but I will shout from the rooftops is how much help you are to those who are new, confused, frightened, and all of the emotions that go along with a melanoma diagnosis at any stage.

thank you. (generic enough?) : )

PS about that marathon….reading BORN TO RUN right now and considering running again in some of those funky minimalist shoes…you got any thoughts on that?

I am sure your brain is there…right as rain.  It is good to have it done sooner rather than later.

Miss CappiDog was sound asleep, oblivious to the Super Moon that I was baying at whilst trying to take fuzzy pics…and the one that was keeping you awake.  That sounds pretty neat to have moonlight flooding into your room tho.  We made moonshine margaritas which seemed appropriate.   You can actually buy legal moonshine in SC, so we bought some because it isn't something you see everyday.

Cappi is awaiting a thunder storm now, safe and sound in her Thunder Shirt which is a thing to calm anxiety.  Poor little Darling, shakes and drools almost uncontrolled when it storms.  So far, so good.  Hope it works.

      You take good care, Sweetness,

      k.
