Maggie,
Thanks for your response, Curious, what type of detoxification routines are you doing? Would you be willing to share?
I am also looking into several support groups where they offer counseling, cooking classes since it is sometimes so hard to find something to eat. Some of these places also offer free massages. I do have a great support group at home I hope you do as well.
So I guess positive thinking, prayers and having someone to talk to helps, Thanks for being there for me. and good luck to you and your journey.
Perhaps talk to you again soon.

This is encouraging news for me, I went for several opinions and was told to watch my Melanoma and wait for 2 months for more CAT Scans before I possibly start my Keytruda which is making me very nervous.
I would rather start my treatment sooner rather than later being that I am Stage IV with Metastic Melanoma. I was told that I would have to be on therapy for the rest of my life
Your story sound so encouraging, I know everyone handle the drug differently, but being that you had no side effects and that you are only on the drug for a year gives me hope.
I am hoping with healthy eating and a change of lifestyle along with drug therap,y that my scans with continue to show no signs of cancer.
I also did not know that once if you are able to stop therapy, that you can start up again, is that correct?
I am really praying, soul searching and hoping to make the right decision very soon for me and my family.
This support group rally helps a lot.
Thanks.,

Thank you so much for your great response and advice. I am going to make an appointment with an approved National Cancer Institute today for my Second Opinion.
My Doctor recommended a Doctor at the University of Chicago who specializes in Melanoma and he has done a lot of breakthrough studies and also does clinical trials. It seems that this is the right path definitely worth a visit.
Thanks again this forum is a wealth of information and so great that it is out there!!!
