My doctors are the same. No scans unless there is evidence. I told my local onc about feeling cruddy, headaches, weight loss etc. on 2 occasions and he would just say, that’s interferon. Whenl i saw my surgical onc they sent me for scans. Low and behold there’s a spot in my brain. I made it a year from original diagnosis. I knew something was off but kept being told it was the medicine. Don’t be scared to fight for your health.Amy

I had axillary dissection on both arms a year ago. At first i had swelling in my chest. Chest was huge. Didn’t last long and haven’t had problems since. Shaving is still an issue. Need 3 hands. Still numb too. I can also make toot sounds with my pits. The kind boys make by sticking their hands in their pits except i don’t have to use my hands. Great party trick.
Good luck!

I’m assuming it means i’m stage 4. Can’t do surgery since it is deep. I haven’t been tested for braf. I’m in limbo right now. I have my melanoma specialist at one hospital but i also have a local oncologist. I’ve only gotten preliminary info from local dr. Waiting for specialist to receive and review scans. Hoping to see mel dr next week to get some answers.Thank you everyone!
