my melanoma was on the top part of my ear. So i had to have some of it removed. I also had a couple local recurrances there as well and had some more of it removed. My suregeon did a great job on mine. im alittle self conscious about it but most people really dont even notice.

I did 28 rounds of Radiation to the side of my face/ ear area and it was brutual for me. the skin was like a really bad sun burn sores in my mouth and on my tongue to where I couldnt eat and spent two days in the hospital receiving fluids. hair doesnt grow in that area by my ear or on my face. my neck is also a little tighter turning to that side now. Radiation didnt appear to work for me as I've had about 5 local reoccurances since radiation. Hope you have better luck with it.

diagnosed 3b in October 2011. moved to 3c after numerous reoccurances. lots of surgeries, ipi trial, and radiation. I have finally made it 11 months with no reoccurance. fingers crossed it stays that way

I'm currently a patient there of Dr. Lawson's have been for 3+years stage 3b. I love all the doctors there and feel I get great care. Excellent surgeons and radiation department as well.

I've had 8 TVEC injection sessions so far and they arent bad. I've had no side effects and go to the gym the same day for heavy workouts. I get them in my face on my cheek close to my ear. They put numbing cream on that area for 30 mins while the TVEC defrost then they inject the spot or spots in my case. It has been working so far for me my little specks have gotten smaller to where they have almost disappeared. So far the first treatment thats actually done something for me. 

matt I had the same surgery and they saw a couple nodes in my neck that they didnt like after a scan and sent me for a ultrasound fine needle asperation. my results came back clean they think they where just that way from the surgery as the havent changed (fingers crossed) since then so far. I was able to get into the Ippi trial wish you luck.
