My malanoma specialist nurse was awsome. This was what I wrote in my thank you card to her.

This is to say thank you. Before I met the Melanoma Team, and specifically you, treatment was something I did for for my husband. Every visit to hospital had confirmed my belief that I would have preferred to die.

At that first visit to the melanoma clinic, when you crouched down in front of me and introduced yourself, I began to believe that treatment could be bearable. I know you are a member of a great team. Everyone has been wonderful, from the receptionists at the clinic through the phlebotomists to the other murse who has stepped in when you were unavailable, but my abiding memory is of you always looking me directly in the eye and communicating your unshakeable belief that I could do it and it would be worth it.

It was worth it. Thank you.
