I was just going through test results of recent labs. i knew that I was Stage IV, but this is the first time I’m seeing the M1C. Did a little Googling to see what it meant, and i understand the definition and it seems appropriate. I’m doing Opdivo/Yervoy and have been doing well on it. Just wondering if the M1C means anything different about my prognosis or how effective treatment will be for me? I’ve poked around the internet and am not seeing much, so I thought I’d ask the experts here 🙂

As some one that has had both lung and brain mets it can get pretty sporty when it comes to looking at stats or having good stats or even wanting to get into stats. If you want to go there you will find that there are some from checkmate 067 trial by Bristol Myer Squibb from 2017 at the 3 year data point where if you go into the result section and look at the figures and tables there is some analysis of break down of categories. There is also a second article from ESMO from sept. 2019 with 5 year survival data of checkmate 067 that show some great results and continued signs of long term survival for many of us stage 4 folks. Hi dear,My mom has just entered m1c about 3 months ago, she is 72 now and she is still fully active (physically and psychologically)
Couple of nasty Mets have cause pain – but her oncologist dealt with it with radiotherapy and she felt better.
I hope that helps, and I really really hope that Opdivo/Yervoy continues to do great job for you.
Love,
S.
