Mom's CT shows progression to liver and lungs, in addition to her inguinal lymph nodes.  We are very devastated.

          Hi Cindy,

So sorry to hear this. Is there a plan B ? Or do you continue with keytruda ?

Hang on in there  …one day a time….. The shock will wear off after a bit. Thinking of you all.

          Best wishes

          Deb

We will find out the plan at an appointment on Monday, but we have to wait all weekend with this news.  She is now Stage 4.  I know that there is still treatment to go, but this was a big hit for us.

Very sorry to read this.  I remember too well the day we found out Juan had progressed to Stage 4 in October 2014, it was a really hard blow so feeling for you.

The good news is that if your Mum is well enough then she can get going on some aggressive treatment (ipi/nivo combo maybe?) which has shown such great results and so much easier while the mets are small (hoping so since just seen for first time).

Good luck, you will feel better once you have a plan

                  Hi Maria,

Thank you for your kind words.  We were very upset at first, but now focusing on how to move forward with treatment.  Unfortunately, my mom had to stop after one dose of ipi/nivo back in October, because she had bad colitis and hepatitis.  We were hoping that Keytruda would be milder.  We see Dr. Ribas tomorrow, and we're hoping he can get us back on track with treatment as soon as possible.

Oh Man!!!!  I am so sorry to hear this.  Stage 4 stinks!!!!!  Hang in there, there is a lot of options still out there. The waiting is the worst part.  Stay strong!
