Thank you so much Mike, I hope they find a cure to this soon. My mom’s blood results came back and they were normal but her urine analysis revealed a UTI ( urinary tract infection ) I am searching this forum to see if this could be a side effect. Although the nurse has denied it is a possible side effect of immuno. We are wondering how she got it since starting her treatment in Feb we have been very cautious of what she eats and she never eats out and maintains a hygienic life style.
But as you said God will protect her.
Wish you and everyone here good health and good days ahead !

Yaaay on her bloodwork! Now, just my opinion, our Livers (and lymphnodes i believe,) try their very best to filter out all the crap from our system and maybe thetes a possibility of fragments of Tumor Cell Death gettin past and into her bladder causing an infection?? Just a thought??

Thank you Mike, I like your theory of releasing the dead tumour cell out via urine and hope it is working that way.

In my experience both as a woman and as a friend of other cancer patients/ people with substantial health issues, UTIs/bladder infections/yeast infections often come in association with heavy medication therapies. I was hospitalized for sepsis the first time I took a (heavy) dose of steroids and came off them. I got a UTI the next time as well but I caught it earlier by bullying a nurse into a ruined test even though I had “no symptoms.” I personally think women and men are both susceptible to them during treatment when they are not normally prone to them. Just my experience….

        Hi there from Canada.
I got 2 confirmed UTIs this past year being on Nivo! Last infection was about 10 years ago. Doc said it happens. We have noticed a pattern …they happen after I have back to back CT scans…I’m convinced it’s the contrast dye that gets my bladder irritated. Our white cells are really low so our renal system works overtime getting toxins out of our body…drugs and dyes and everything else. Big hugs! Tracey DoubleTT
