In an effort to continue to reduce spam accounts and posts, we will be adding a pop-up that users will need to opt into to be able to continue logging in. This pop-up will be launched on Wednesday, September 1st. The first time you log-in after that date, you’ll need to “agree”; you will also see the same pop-up monthly thereafter, at which time you’ll need to “agree” again.
The text of the pop-up message is below. This language can already be found on the Forum by following the link at the end of message; by having it as a pop-up, it allows us to more easily prevent and/or remove posts and posters who may post inappropriate spam/content.
Forum Code of Conduct
This community was formed to bring together those who have been affected by melanoma. The primary goal is to provide positive support and information to all within the melanoma community.
To that end, posts that are in violation of any of the below will be removed:
- Personal attacks or inflammatory posts of any kind
- Slanderous posts impugning the character or ability of any health care provider, health care institution, or organization
- Slanderous posts impugning the care received or service provided by any health care provider or health care institution
- Abusive or obscene language
- Commercial posts of any kind
- Spam
Please note: the MRF reserves the right to revoke posting permissions of users who repeatedly violate the code of conduct.
