tanyasteve: this is a post for Jerry Ellis (Thomas). He is in the ICU at ST.Anthony Central in
Denver. He was badly injured while riding a horse last night. He was flight for lifed. He has
      major trauma to his face.

So, bad news. I hope he's doing OK.

          This from his Facebook page:

Todd Ellis my Dad is in ICU neurological unit at Denver Trauma Center. Minor improvements, He has nodded and grabbed a hand. His vitals appear to be stable for now. He has aspirated Horse manure though and is septic. Sedated with Versed and Fentanyl making evaluation a nonexact science. He was dragged by a horse and has head injuries.

Terrible news. But Jerry is a pretty incredible guy, and has amazing strength.

            Ohmygosh,

I am so sorry to hear this.  We have been taking care of my son who has just suffered his second head trauma.  This one was not as bad as the first, but it is awful scary to see someone go through the stages of consciousness and the stuff that meds can do.

Thankfully, he is doing great now and has almost no memory of the 15 days he spent in the hosptal.  (I told him that I can remember enough for the both of us.)

Sending the very best thoughts right at Jerry.

            Take good care, K.
