    Hi there Melahomies!

This morning while putting lotion on my arms, I noticed two new lumps next to my SNB scar.  I had thought that I was a complete responder to Pembro but alas, it's back. I just thought I was done with Mel. Guess not.

A week from Monday I'll have a VATs procedure for lung cancer. The surgeon will take the offending lung lobe (with Larry) and some lymph nodes and hopefully, that will be it for me.  I can't imagine fighting this on two fronts.

I'm just complaining at this point. I won't really know anything until Larry the lung tumor comes out and we get a better look at him.

    Thanks for listening,

    Shalom,

    Julie

Intralesionals for the lumps you can feel?????  Just thinking out loud.  Here's a bunch of reports:

        http://chaoticallypreciselifeloveandmelanoma.blogspot.com/search?q=intralesional&max-results=20&by-date=true

PV-10?  T-VEC?  They have even combined t-vec with pembro.  Maybe something to think about?  c

        Thanks Celeste!

Yes, these are intralesionals or intransits.  I've had them before but either ipi or pembro has melted them.  It's just that they keep coming back in different spots.

I'll take a look at PV-10 and T-VEC.  It sounds promising!

        Thanks so much!

        blessings,

Ha! Paul this is pretty funny!

I don't know what I'm going to do.  I've got a vats surgery scheduled for May 8th.  After that I should find out what stage I am for lung cancer.  If I'm stage 1 I shouldn't need any more treatment.  If not well… that's a whole new kettle of fish.

I don't know if I'd do Pembro again.  I am finally down to 10mg prednisone and am still feeling the aches (oh yea and I walk with a cane now).  But I'll cross this when I get to it. First things first. And right now lung cancer is first.

        Thanks for the laugh!!

        Trust you're well,

        Julie

Julie, sorry to hear.  On the arthritis front, I'm 6 weeks into methotrexate and over the past week have started to see some good results.  Much less stiffness and pain in my knees and ankles and back to almost normal walking speed.  I'm still on 15mg prednisone but feel like I'll be able to taper soon.  You might discuss methotrexate with your doctors.

Thanks Mat, I'll ask the good arthritis doc about methotrexate, but probably after next week's surgery.  I'm just going to walk like an old lady for a little while longer

Thanks Julie, I am well. On a slow taper as well. Down to 4 mg. 1mg. every 2 weeks according to Dr.T. Will ask Rock Star for some Pt. for the knees on Wed. Hope your surgery goes well… At St. John’s?

Ahh I see we have the whole contingent of slow prednisone taper club.  Ugh!

        So glad you're doing well.

yes the surgery will be at St John's and with the guy that invented the procedure.  How awesome is that.!?! When the Rock Star says he knows a guy… he really knows a guy!

I've got a script for PT, but I haven't used it yet.  I figure after lung surgery, then the knees will get some badly needed attention.  Meanwhile I just keep moving (ouch) and stretch as often as I can.  I almost have 90 degrees in them.  Almost…

Jeez Julie, I can't think of anyone that makes me laugh like you do and I'm amazed by how you fight Melanoma and any other stupid cancer they throw your way, you should get an award just for creating the phrase "Melahomies".  You make me laugh with every post,  that's a miracle, and I'm hoping Larry dies quickly and that you get through this at warp speed.  You have my prayers, thoughts and giggles from your wicked sense of humor!  Many hugs Julie.

Thanks Jackie! I love it when I make people laugh!

But i have to admit, "Melahomies" isn't original (wish it was – I'd e really witty then!) but I picked it up from someone here.

        Thanks for the smile!
