Hey everyone.I had my first brain met, 2 mm, in August and had SRS on 8/24. Today was my first scan since then. Today I got the GREAT news that the spot they zapped is gone and there is nothing new, and no brain swelling. It is such a relief!! I was really worried that there would be new mets since melanoma likes the brain so much.
I just finished my last dose of Yervoy last week and will have CT scans on Nocember 29th. Hopefully those scans show great things as well!!
I know that it is very possible that my next brain MRI may not show such good results, but we have to celebrate the good news when we get it!!
Just wanted to share some good news. 🙂

This is great news! I continue to hope and pray ipi will stop them from growing there anytime soon.I just had my first gamma knife treatment today. One is small, so will probably die like yours, the other one was big, so it will Shrink overtime, but not fully go away necessarily. It just may nenevr grow again, you just don’t know.
Just continue to believe nothing is coming back and enjoy your life to the fullest.
