Hello group. It’s been a while since I’ve been on this site. I’m 3 and 1/2 years out from surgery. Primary site was on my back. My SLNB was positive but later, all the other nodes were negative. Every PET has been negative until this summer. Now, a follow up chest CT shows two lesions. Biopsy on Friday with repeat PET on Thurs to make sure nothing else shows up anywhere else. Started reviewing the clinical trials site. I know I need the path results first, but I’m looking. Anyone have opinions on the most effective trials? Thanks!!

There is good treatments now outside of trails that are FDA approved would be great…. Opdivo, Keytruda or a combo. I have been on Opdivo (nivo) for the past 5 months and getting good results. I am sure some other super knowledgeable people will chime in with some great links to info.

Hi Jen, like “iskitwo” just mentioned, Keytruda (aka Pembrolizumab)
              Opdivo (aka Nivolumab)
              Yervoy (aka Ipilimumab)
(Opdivo & Yervoy can be used together)
Are the 3 current AWESOME drugs out for your current condition & most likely will be good 4 you! Talk with your team, by the way, will this be your first Lung Biopsy? Lets see if you turn out to be like me (5% of folks) who will “cough” and or cough up a little blood as soon as the needle penetrates your lung! Haha..lucky me, i was one of the 5%’rs 😉 good luck!!!!

Yep! They have to in order to get into the “tumor” or what have you, you may not be a Cougher/bleeder, 5% do! All in all you will NOT feel a thing BELIEVE me, went smooth as heck…
