I am so encouraged. First, the LDH sure was a good marker that her liver tumor burden was lessening. First four week scan shows a huge hole in tumor and is down by 4cm. She is totally out of pain and it has not spread to any other organs, not even brain. She will have Pet scan done in 9 weeks to see what's left and we will discuss surgery. They aren't even talking any other meds now! I'm so encouraged and am so happy I found this support forum.

Very happy Jacque!
Got scared for a second though as progress and progression (tumor growth) mean something quite different depending on the context 🙂
So it seems you can keep using the blood tests (and LDH) now to track her situation – and don't have to wait long periods for scans. It can also help you identify issues quickly and move on quickly if needed. Having said that, be careful – it can be faulty at times so best to look at a complete set of blood values. Our onc looks mostly at LDH and CRP but also standard tests such as hemoglobine and white blood cells and two other liver tests (alk. phosphates and one more – have to look it up).
GOOD LUCK,
Rick

By the way, it's remarkably quick for YERVOY to work after 1 treatment …. !
Did they have any explanation for this? Just curious because my wife's on Keytruda (4th infusion yesterday) and in case of doubt if it works, our onc is thinking of 2 quick rounds of YERVOY (in the hope of being a quick responder) and then move back to Keytruda…

Thanks Rick! No she did have four infusions. The scan was done four weeks after treatment and remember she had the embolization a week before YERVOY started so that may have helped too. Beleive me, with your advice I am all over the blood levels and everything is in normal range. Can't thank you enough for that. I would say give the YERVOY a shot if it's an option because It can't hurt right? We have wonaotnagain to see if it will shrink more but the fact he didn't suggest a Braf inhibitor I'm thinking he thinks YERVOY will work. How sinuous wife feeling??

Save yourself, and your family members and friends by helping them out with this information for better understanding.Where to order the medication online!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!for more help. -
