Constipation , edema and fluid retention

      Spent three days in hospital for edema fluid retention and constipation . IV gained 40 lbs in water . Severely constipation and have +4 edema .on a bm regime new diuretic . My doc said this is normal with liver involvement  I'm so discouraged

          Hi Debbie,

          You certainly are going through a rough time.  Is the doc you mention your melanoma doc?  And is he/she claiming your symptoms are resulting from your mets or side-effects from the drugs or both?  Has your doc recommended any changes to your melanoma treatment plan?  It's terrible that you are having such trouble.  I'm curious to know what your doctor is doing about your mets.
