I'm 9 days into my ipi treatment and in the past 2 days have noticed irritablity BIGTIME!  I'm inpatient and very moody which is unlike me.  It's not all the time, but I have noticed something different about me. I know ipi can cause glandular problems which can cause irritability, but I don't think this would happen so qucikly. I don't really know if this is just me or the drug. Has anyone experienced this?

      Hi Lisa,

I went through 5 doses of ipi and didn't have the irritability that you're experiencing.  Could it just be a combination of all that you're going through now?  Hoping ipi does the trick for you!

Lisa….Your stuck as an inpatient, give yourself a break.  No one expects you to be perfect.  If you chew a head off now and then apologize later and blame the drugs, then forget about it.  I'd be going nuts stuck in the same place for 9 days and be a raving B….

Lisa, Yervoy can cause a few side effects that can have an indirect influence on mood.
These include: colitis (inflammation of the colon), diarrhoea, pruritus (itching) and
      rash. See: http://www.medilexicon.com/drugs/yervoy.php and
      http://www.drugs.com/yervoy.html

Hope you are feeling better soon.

      Hi Lisa,

My dad is 10 days in IPI treatment and I have noticed irritability..might just be me but I feel I am annoying him.

Have you had any other side effects?

I think I just had an off day yesterday as I'm feeling better today.  The irritibility and moodiness I experienced was really out of the ordinary for me (even when I am moody) so I was a bit concerned. Nevertheless, I'm back to myself!

Maggie – I have no symptoms right now. The Dr and clinical trial nurse both indicated that the majority of people will get symptoms in and around the 7th week (if they get the symptoms).  I get my next treatment on September 1st (the day after I move!).

        Hi Lisa!

I have to agree with the statement ":I think the whole melanoma madness = days of moodiness! 🙂 "

My father will have his second ipi infusion on 8/31 so we will have to compare notes.

I hope and pray that you will respond. Keep believing.. You WILL beat mel =)
