Melissa I completed my 3rd round of biochemo in April. Had (2) tumors that were un operable. Both shrunk and we used surgery to get tumors out. I did not lose my hair. It thinned but did not lose it. Keep up the fight. I am glad I did the treatment hope it is the same for you.

Going for round 4 of Biochemo tomorrow. I did really well on first two rounds, it is rough while in the hospital but they try and give you meds for symptons before they happen. Tell the nurses as soon as you feel something. Do not try and tough anything out it is harder to get things under control the longer you wait. Drink lots of fluid and eat what you can. My wife stays with me and she will usually stay on top of things for me as i am kinda out of it once the adavan kicks in. Try and do normal things each day if possible shower and walk etc. It again is tough but doable. Fight the fight and be well.

I am stage iv and have completed (3) rounds of biochemo at Kaiser Riverside. Like the other reply I too am under Gailani and was told interferon or radiation do not have much success. I have just gotten the word i am N.E.D i have to decide on a 4th treatment next week. It is tough i was sick the wwhole time in the hospital. I was the only person i think to have gained weight while in hte hospital. No hair loss. I was able to go back to work the secong day after going home. I worked for about 6hours a day. The second week after started feeling normal and got taste buds back. Then back in to hospital. Very tough but doable. Good luck with your decision
