I asked about that very thing at Vandy. They told me I could bring a water enhancer like Meo or whatever its called to squirt in it. I have scans in 2 weeks – I will try it and let you know.

My primary was a nodule on the crown of my head. I had WLE and skin graft ( skin from my thigh). The graft is about 2" in diameter. My surgeon put a round hard cap on my head over the bandages. The cap had a chin strap on it. I had to wear it for a week solid. I think it was to keep light pressure on it. The graft was bothersome, but not too painful. The skin donation site took longer to heal. They also did a SLNB which found one positive node in my neck.

That was the first surgery I've ever had. It was day surgery so not long in the hospital. I hope everything goes well for you.

Yea, I think that is the only way to know for sure without the agonizing wait for more scans. I don’t know if the atelectasis is associated with a met or cancer. When I google lung nodules, most mention “without atelectasis”. And the term emphasematic changes scares me. I’m only 47 and have never smoked.
Harry, it looks like we have head/neck in common. Mine was a raised ulcerated nodule on the top of my head with one positive node in neck. Thank you for the reply.

Inflamed pituitary can cause eye issues too. Has he had head aches?  Stay on your onc until they find out what it is.

No I have not been able to come off. I was tested after 6 months to check my adrenal function, but there was nothing. They think I will have to be on prednisone forever

I am sorry to hear you have had issues too. I am just glad for no colitis. Yuk
