Josh,
I'm sorry you are going through this. I hope you hear a good plan of attack from your doctors. I think I told you after IL-2 my husband recurred with 3 intestinal tumors about a year later. They resected all 3 but probably because the one was obstructing the bowel. I don't know what to tell you. If that tumor is causing a real problem and you can't afford to wait that is normally when the doctors suggest getting it out. I know if it were my husband he just wanted it all removed but everyone's situation is different. Surgery is also scary, may not solve the problem. I just hope for you that whatever decision you make it works out so you can just get a break from this.

Charlie,
I first started on this board back in 2007 when my husband was first diagnosed – you were there giving hope. This disease sucks, not doubt, nothing good about it.
I just want to say – I'm sorry you are dealing with it again.

Hi Randy,
Great news!. I see your post and my husbands Stage IV was similar to yours, except no mel in brain. He has been NED since 2009. He also had a vaccine in his leg from NIH, GP100, then mets to both lungs and then IL2. Then mets to intestines. I was wondering about the vaccine you had? If you get a chance to reply – what was it called. I try to think sometimes there are similarities with certain people? I don't know.
I hope you are celebrating your great news. Enjoy and thanks for sharing, it gives us all hope.

I haven't been on here in a while but always check in. I'm so sad to hear this, he was such an inspiration and he cared about everyone and always tried to help. He was someone I always thought he would beat this cancer.
Rest in peace Jerry.

Hi,
I haven't been on this board in forever but I saw your post. My husband Bob went to NIH for just IL-2 treatment back in 2008 for Lung mets and then surgery in 2009 with them for intestinal mets. He is still alive and well, I worry about him still. I just wanted to let you know, you are at a good agressive place. I do feel they saved my husbands life. I get sad coming on the site and pray they get better with the treatments. Rebecca

Hi Maggie,
Sorry to hear about your brother. My husband has been Stage IV since 2008, disease free since 2009. He had lung mets, subqs and intestinal mets. He did IL-2, and multiple surgeries. Tell your brother to be strong and be agressive with this disease. Good luck. Rebecca
