I had to fight my insurance and after 4 weeks they agreed to pay but my doctor allowed me to do the self injection at the clinic through their pharmacy for the first 3 weeks to get around my insurance. I don’t know if that is a option but you can ask your doctor.

Just to let you know I did the 4 weeks of high dose and started the 11 months of low dose. I stoped the low dose after 2 months as I felt my quality of life was worth more than the little if any benefit from the low dose.

      Just my two cents

Hi, I am stage III had 1 pos lymph node in left arm pit radiation was recommend to help stop local recurrence I did 20 treatments in 4 weeks and from what I was told and what I researched it does help with improving you chance of melanoma not coming back. My doctors did not wait to do pet scans or mri. I also did 1 month of high dose interferon after the radiation treatment but stopped the maintenance dose after 2 months. I found the radiation treatments easy and glad I did them. I have my next pet scan and MRI in two weeks and hope they are clear. Good luck and hope all your scans are clear
