What type of pain is it? I ask because I have been experiencing the same lately. I am stage 1a with clear node biopsy in my groin.

The past couple of months both of my armpits have been aching. It's like I'm holding a tennis ball under both of them. I've had an ultrasound and it looked fine. Both the derm and oncolgist don't seem concerned, but I know I'm not crazy, something is going on with my armpits.

Also, the doctors at MD Anderson wanted to have a base line of me with no signs of disease so that they could have something to go off should the disease pop back up later.

I asked for and recieved the scans due to my strong family history of melanoma. I believe my exact phrasing was, "I'm 33 years old, I'm too young to go out like this, I don't care what it costs, just do it."

Peace of mind is priceless IMO.
