As a parent, I can't imagine anything worse than knowing my child was hurt and scared and being helpless. Not such a bad thought that you would cheer the death of someone who would do what he did.

It's funny that a complete stranger can give you a pick me up when you especially need it, without even knowing. My father was accosted in a grocery store in Florida many years ago by a well meaning woman who was convinced he was Tom Selleck. He still tells the story, which has caused many smiles within our family. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Valerie. The few days since I posted this have been better with the fentanyl and morphine. You are right about family not understanding. My husband's stepfather, who lives 300 miles away, actually said to me that this was harder for them (he and my husband's mother) than it is for my daughter and for me. I wanted to scream, but just smiled and said ok. That was the first time that I truly understood how little they understood.
I'm sorry that you are also on this crazy roller coaster. It seems that your faith is strong as are you.
