Ask your doctor to test for Rheumatoid Arthritis. My husband only had four doses of Nivo when his RA factor was off the charts. Now he's on steroids and Celebrex. Prayers to your family.

We decided four years ago that the +3% chance of prolonging recurrence was worth it. My husband did 20 rounds over four weeks. For some it's worked, sadly for us it didn't. Now we've done SRS on brain mets, four rounds of IPI and 6 doses of Nivo and found out today he has two more brain mets. Back for more SRS. Next week a PET to see if it's anywhere else. As our oncologist told us, the only thing that is predictable about melanoma, is that it is unpredictable. Best wishes.

Your history could be my husband's! In December we found out he has 5 tumors plus 2 brain mets. I literally lost my breath and thought I had to prepare for the worst. Then, we got a great Mel specialist and found out about SRS and immunotherapy. Now our days are full of hope and making long term plans. Even after IPI failed, we remain positive. Stay strong, get a specialist and as others have already said, so many new treatment options since 2010, so keep the faith! Prayers for you!

I would just recommend you consider that six months could mean everything! Look at all the new treatments available that weren't there a few years ago.
